Starting in 1972, Jot Singh Khalsa trained intensively in art, jewelry making and metalsmithing at the State University of New York at New Paltz. There, spent the next six years learning to create silver and gold jewelry and artful objects in non-precious metals.
Shortly thereafter, he had the opportunity to attended the 1st New York Knife Show. Impressed and inspired by what he saw and handled, he was said to himself, 'I can do this!'
Today, Khalsa Raj operates a small manufacturing facility and home office, where Jot Singh Khalsa and his team design and fabricate handmade knives, swords and Kirpans (sacred Sikh knives). The company also designs, creates, and offers a line of jewelry and more recently artful objects for the home, office, and Gurdwara (Sikh Temple). All of these can be viewed and purchased on this site.
Khalsa Raj is happy to consider creating unique and special pieces for you or loved ones. The company ethos is founded on the belief in being design pioneers and mavericks, and working diligently to create them. The team is deeply grateful to have the opportunity to develop its product lines based on this approach to excellence.
